I have been working the last few months on creating some more activities to go along
with Be ~ Biblical Wisdom for Children. It was an idea an acquaintance gave to me, and
I am not sure why I never thought about it until it was pointed out. I decided to go ahead
and do it because I liked the idea, and I know my kids would like it too.
Art is a very subjective process, and I created these pages to allow more subjectivity. I
didn’t want it to be a simple fill in shapes coloring book. I wanted it to be different. I wanted
parents to encourage their children to look at Be ~ Biblical Wisdom for Children as they
work, but to also think in a more abstract process to make the art their own.
Encouraging creativity is very important to me.
There is no right or wrong way to create, and I think it is important for children to see that art
comes in many ways. It is one thing I wish I would have been taught much earlier in life.
If you didn’t receive these pages, but would like to, just sign up to the newsletter at
www.jameswritinganddesign.com, and I will send it to you.
I created a thread to showcase all the artwork I receive over time.
You can find it here:
Please share your children’s art with me. I would love to showcase it. To do this, feel out the contact
form on my website, and I will email instructions on how to send it in.
