Book Review: The Homeward Ranch By Ralph Moody

posted in: Book Review | 0

I finished reading The Homeward Ranch by Ralph Moody. This is the third book in his series,
which is based on his life. The first book is called Little Britches: Father and I were Ranchers.
I read the first two books to my kids last year. We were going to try to go through the whole
series, but we have so many books to share that it is hard to get in extras. To tell the truth,
I am glad I read it to myself. I can progress faster, and I’m not interrupted with questions,
which takes away from the book.

This book was as great as the other books. I was involved with the story at every chapter,
and I even had to go and look up some Youtube videos on what cutting horses look like
while they work cattle, which helped me fully understand what Ralph was doing with the
cutting horse.

I am not a big Western type reader, so don’t be alarmed or quickly write this off as something
you won’t like. Try the first book in the series, you, like me, might be pleasantly surprised.
