Book Review: The Mustache Baby By Bridget Heos

I noticed this book in Sam’s Club while I was waiting for the Nurse. Well, let me be honest,
I noticed the typography, and I thought it looked a little stupid as the words were turned into
a mustache. I made a comment to the Author. I was then distracted by the Nurse telling me,
as he flipped through a Photoshop magazine, that he was going to buy this and surpass me
with Photoshop. As I started looking at the magazine, the Nurse and the Author started to
talk about the Mustache Baby, and they started to read it.

I was interrupted by the Author a few minutes later telling me I must read this book.

The Artist informed us all that she has read that book on the Sleuth’s Kindle numerous times
and it was funny.

I didn’t believe it.

So, I stood in the middle of the aisle and read the book while they all stared at me. When I was
close to the end, the Nurse said, “The last page is my favorite…”

I pass this book on to you, and I remind you, you can’t always judge a book by its cover. Don’t let the
cover fool you. The book has a great little story, and you can bounce conversations off of the storyline
to further unpack and use it for your children.

This book is delightful, and it can definitely be read more than once (The Artist insists she has read it a
million times, and she still likes it). I think you can use little mini lessons for your children as you go
through the book, but best of all you will have a laugh.

I guarantee it.
