I think who you spend your time with is the biggest determination of what kind of creative
level you have in life. When you are around creative people, they continually find ways to
stay engaged and more creative, and you find yourself doing the same thing.
Maybe you have heard of the quote, “You are the average of the five people you hang
around with the most.” To me, this is sobering. I include not just people, but I say you are
also the average of the five things you spend your time doing (obviously, this is beyond
what you have to do in life like the never ending laundry pile). Are you only playing apps
on your phone in your spare time? Are you only watching TV, and if so, what are those
“friends” telling you about life?
Don’t let others steal your creativity or hinder your own growth.
