Teach doctoral students the Miro program.

Eastern Kentucky University felt some of their nursing doctoral students were technology-challenged. This was impacting their ability to complete some class assignments, and it was impacting their grades. They needed these students to be familiar with the Miro program, and an instructional video was requested.

Assure students it was easy to work with the Miro program. Show students how to work with the essential tools they need for their assignments.

Since most students were older professionals who struggled with learning new technology, the video needed to be short and clearly show how easy the program was to use.

I had to learn the program to teach the program, so research was my beginning point. I then dissected the student example I was given and started planning out what tools would accomplish this assignment.

Once this was accomplished, I storyboarded the video and went into production.

Microsoft products were used to create wordage and send communications.

Graphics were created in Adobe Photoshop.

The video was created in Camtasia.

The audio was edited with Audiate.

The results were delivered through OneDrive.

No evaluation method was assigned to this video.

I recommended uploading the video to their Blackboard shell and referencing it in the syllabus.

I created this video and the audio, visuals, and closed captioning. Example one has no captions. Example two has captions.
