The Best Free Game For Christian Families

Have you heard of Geocaching?

It is a scavenger hunt game being played by millions of people all around the world. It
started back in 2000, and I think it is safe to say it continually grows. I stumbled upon it
one day. I was in a class, and a girl was talking about doing more Geocaching to
increase her happiness level in life. I started researching it, and I was excited by
what I discovered.

It seemed like a great family activity.

This week, we hunted for our first “Cache.” The Nancy Drew Sleuth, who just turned five,
was extremely excited about this game after she watched some YouTube Videos.

Building excitement is a good thing, but I gotta admit every conversation with her revolved
around Geocaching for a couple of days. It was draining.

The big day arrived, and after the first half a mile of walking, she said, “This isn’t what I
thought it was going to be. I don’t like Geocaching anymore.”

The Nurse had to bribe her from point to point with breath mints.

I spotted the cache, which was hidden behind some rocks up on a side of a hill. I
called the Sleuth, and I pointed it out. I told the other kids that we would let her open
this one, so we wouldn’t have to quit the game after our first find. You know the saying
the squeaky wheel gets greased. She may be only five, but she impacts the family’s
happiness levels. Needless to say, when she saw all the treasures within the container,
and the fact she could pick and keep one thing, she was right back into Geocaching.

She happily walked a mile back to the truck, without a complaint, singing she was the
Geocaching queen as she swung her little silver “monkey badge” to prove it.

Ah, the high of finding treasure.
