The Road Less Travelled

I’m not sure why so many churches teach that once Christ is within your life, life will be easy.
It is completely contrary to scripture. When we expect ease, we quickly become overwhelmed
when we hit a snag in the journey.

We can’t expect more in life than what Jesus received. If they treated Jesus like this, then why
would they treat us any differently? When we are taught this, we are continually strengthened.
We are not thrown for a loop when we encounter difficulty.

I feel that too often, we set our children up for failure when we don’t teach them that life is filled
with struggles, and even though we have the path Jesus has laid out for us, that doesn’t mean
the road is an easy path.

Here is a visual representation for you to dwell upon as you walk your own path. Be encouraged.
We don’t walk alone. We have someone leading us onward.

Remember, Matthew 7:12-13
12 In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence
of the Law and the prophets. 13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad
is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow
the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.…

By the way, I think anyone over forty will agree this road looks scary. Man, I would twist my ankle!
