I set the goal of creating one legacy painting for each of my children, and this is my first child\u2019s fine art piece. I\u2019ve found this one to be very challenging, but I think I\u2019ve said that with the other two. Somehow it is harder just because you are dealing with your children. I think it makes you more critical when you look at the painting.

We did the photo shot over a year ago, but I couldn\u2019t figure out exactly how I wanted to create it, so I put it on the back burner to simmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My daughter has written a series of fiction books. She\nwants to publish them, but college has taken over her life, and she hasn\u2019t been\nable to spend the amount of time getting them to the quality she wants for\npublication. Because books and writing have always been a big part of her life,\nI wanted to capture that with her fine art piece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video shows a little bit of my process. I tried to take a screenshot over the major portions of production, which was over a span of a couple of weeks. The one thing I love about capturing screenshots is you see your process differently. It\u2019s so easy to forget where you have come from when you first start out.
