With every person I\u2019ve interviewed, I\u2019ve had preconceived ideas about them. It\u2019s easy to divide people up into categories. Maybe it seems more natural to think of someone as \u201ctalented\u201d because in a way, it helps you when you struggle with your artwork. Isn\u2019t it easier to say someone is talented and you are not? It gets you mentally off the hook. It\u2019s much more difficult to realize it\u2019s not talent but hard work that has gotten them to the place they are at today. If you accept the truth that it\u2019s not talent but hard work, then you have work to do, and maybe the truth is you don\u2019t want to work that hard at digital art. Isn\u2019t that harder to admit?

Ray has worked hard at his craft, and it shows. He can create beautiful portraits, but he can also create dynamic caricatures. I\u2019ve had the privilege of seeing the art he created for some children\u2019s books, and it is fabulous! He has worked at different subjects, and\u00a0 I think you will agree that it shows in what he can produce! I think you will be surprised by his story.
