The Lego Boy has turned twelve. It probably won’t come as a big surprise for you to learn
\nhe received Lego’s for his birthday. He is really into building things, and The Nurse and I
\nare trying to encourage him in his gifts. Did you know Lego’s has a robotic type Lego
\npackage? It is super expensive, but it combines building with technology. We are thinking
\nof investing in a kit of these in the next year or two to help stimulate the ability to take

I encourage my kids to not just be consumers of things, but to be creators of things too. I
\nam an Adobe Education Trainer, and within their program, they have numerous examples
\nof helping children utilize technology.<\/p>\n

Technology isn’t going away. It will only become more powerful, and numerous industries are
\nlooking for individuals that can utilize these programs, or better yet, create bigger ones. It is
\na valuable skill to have, so I try to teach my children how to utilize these programs.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, being a consumer is easier than being a creator, so they gravitate to that
\nwhen given a choice for free time.<\/p>\n

\nYou gotta find something you are willing to invest your time in that you can lose yourself in.
