I am constantly showing them<br \/>\nhow people manipulate images for some purpose. It might be to sell a product, it might be to<br \/>\nconvince the viewer of something, and it might be innocent and just reduce skin imperfections<br \/>\nthe camera picks up.<\/p>\n<p>One day my son declared he would never believe what he sees in a picture, but I realized he was putting videos<br \/>\nover still images. Still, images he knew could trick him. He thought videos couldn\u2019t be manipulated<br \/>\nin any manner.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nTime for more education.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I started working with simple video manipulations, and in this, I started\u00a0to teach my children that<br \/>\nvideos are manipulated in the same manner as Photoshop. A good edit\u00a0can fool you just as easily.<br \/>\nHowever, videos are more convincing because they move; therefore,\u00a0you think it is being recorded<br \/>\nin real time. Not so!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I love technology and the things it can do. I do believe we should be educating our children in<br \/>\nthese areas, and I think we need to teach them to be aware that people are using them for good<br \/>\nor bad just like everything else in life.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education is key.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You learn not to compare yourself, or your life, to fake things when you know<br \/>\nhow it is created.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is a great little clip that showcases the video world.
