I have a pet peeve. Well, I have many, but this one really irritates me because I have heard it
\nfor a great majority of my life. I become inwardly irate when I hear, “I’m too old.”<\/p>\n

“I’m too old to take a class at college.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“I’m too old to learn photography.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“I’m too old to travel.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“I’m too old to learn computers.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“I’m too old to do that…”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“I’m too old to garden.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“I’m too old to learn how to use a smartphone.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I think what frustrates me the most is the fact that those that are saying this
\ndon’t even try. They state the, “I’m too old….” and it is settled in their mind
\nthat this is it. There is no reason to try. What baloney.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I remember hearing this so often growing up, and guess what…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Those people are still alive, and they are still saying the same things they were
\nsaying twenty-five years ago. Think about how long that is! I think in that amount
\nof time, they could have done something. Don’t you? I think they could have learned
\nthe thing they wanted to learn by now. Even those classified as slower learners
\ndon’t take twenty-five years.<\/p>\n

If you surround yourself with people older or younger telling you that you can’t do it because of
\nyour age, you act that way.<\/p>\n

You don’t know how long God has given you on earth. Keep learning, keep growing, keep exploring.
\nDon’t make excuses for yourself. In twenty-five years, you might look back and think about all you
\ncould have and should have done.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
