Yikes! That seems crazy.
The first time I heard it, I was in my twenties, and I happened to tune into the show on the radio
by accident. I hadn’t ever heard of them before, but I had enjoyed the story. It had made me laugh,
so I went exploring to find out where these episodes came from. Needless to say, I became hooked.
Back then I was stuck to hearing it only on the radio, but now there are so many more options to
listen to Adventures in Odyssey.

Never heard of it? Let me catch you up…

Adventures in Odyssey is a thirty minute dramatized radio broadcasts by Focus on the Family.
The adventures feature all kinds of topics. They have dramatized Bible stories (thanks to the imagination station),
as well as tackling all sorts of real-life problems, which always teach a Biblical truth. There are many
characters, but the main characters (Whit, Connie, Eugene) tend to stay around. There are also characters
that come and go. The stories are always continually building upon the history of the characters, so it is fun
watching it all play out over the years.

I remember when Eugene first came to Whit’s End (the local ice cream shop), and when he became a Christian.
Now he is married! Adventures in Odyssey are the most elaborate intertwined stories for children I have ever
seen. You listen to characters struggle, grow, mature, and marry. The writing is strong. The dramatization is
superb. I guarantee you will become attached to Odyssey.

If you want another way to help your children learn about the Bible, this is a must. I will admit that they seem
rather expensive for the long haul of things; however, my kids listen to the stories more than once, and I
know the cost analysis for all of us enjoying them breaks down to a small amount.

I know it can seem overwhelming on trying to figure out where to start when there are so many options.
Here are some suggestions:

1.
