I’m not sure why so many churches teach that once Christ is within your life, life will be easy.
\nIt is completely contrary to scripture. When we expect ease, we quickly become overwhelmed
\nwhen we hit a snag in the journey.<\/p>\n
We can’t expect more in life than what Jesus received. If they treated Jesus like this, then why
\nwould they treat us any differently? When we are taught this, we are continually strengthened.
\nWe are not thrown for a loop when we encounter difficulty.<\/p>\n
I feel that too often, we set our children up for failure when we don’t teach them that life is filled
\nwith struggles, and even though we have the path Jesus has laid out for us, that doesn’t mean
\nthe road is an easy path.<\/p>\n

Here is a visual representation for you to dwell upon as you walk your own path. Be encouraged.
\nWe don’t walk alone. We have someone leading us onward.<\/p>\n

Remember, Matthew 7:12-13
\n12 In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence
\nof the Law and the prophets. 13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad
\nis the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow
\nthe way that leads to life, and only a few find it.\u2026<\/p>\n

By the way, I think anyone over forty will agree this road looks scary. Man, I would twist my ankle!<\/p>\n
