I love textures in my artwork, and I think you can never have enough of them. I’ve got some for you to use in your artwork. We all see things differently, and I think that’s why it’s good to have textures from other people. You never know what they might see that you wouldn’t. Having a variety of textures is key because you never know what one does over another without trying it out. Experiment with blend modes in Photoshop or Corel Painter.
I’ve picked these textures to share with you for specific reasons.

Just remember to use these textures within your artwork and not as a stand-alone!

First, there are a lot of beautiful lines in them. You can turn the textures to black and white, and then blend parts into your artwork. Don’t forget to reduce the opacity. Try going down to 20% with the opacity to see what it does. I typically turn all my textures to grayscale because I don’t want it to impact my colors, which I’ve worked hard on creating.
Second, there is a lot of possibilities with a good handful of these textures. They have distinct, organic marks that you could turn into a brush or stamp.
Third, there is enough variation in them, which will allow you to separate out certain portions and blend them back into your artwork. Always look for pieces you can use when you can’t use the whole image.
To Use
Right-click on the image and download it to your computer.
Here are the rules for using my textures. They are simple.
Don’t take the textures and sell them. Don’t claim them as your own. Don’t redistribute them. Just link people back here to pick up their own textures. Use them in commercial or personal projects. You do not have to give me attribution in any manner with your artwork.
